Lattice Bench

Designed by Norm Architects, the Lattice Bench examines the interplay of being transparent and solid. The legs are constructed with wooden lattice and spacing that experiments with both light and shadow. The legs will appear as a closed surface from some angles, while from another they may appear very transparent. The Lattice Bench is inspired by shutters and covers that are used in architecture to control light - often found in traditional Japanese stores and restaurants.
